Philanthroper and a culture of giving
I know I haven’t been posting so much about my personal life lately but I have been so busy with GlobeMed and Senior Seminar and other classes I haven’t had much time to do anything else. (I will blog about most of those later I promise.)
Lately I subscribed to this daily email service called philanthroper and every day it emails you about a new cause that you can donate to. They only ask for a dollar and the main point is just to introduce you to new ways of giving and new causes but it also gets you used to the action of just giving a small amount everyday to make a diference.
By only putting in a minimum investment this doesn’t get costly over time but it does cause me to learn more about these different organizations as I research them before I decide how much I want to give. (you can donate up to $10.)
Today their organization is GlobeMed so double win. I know this is kind of a shameless plug, but I also want to say for the record I looked into this a little bit before our nonprofit started to get involved with the website and I plan on staying an active user of philanthroper for a long time. Anyway, I encourage everyone to donate to GlobeMed or at least sign up for the daily newsletter. The link can be found below:
